Bakery Heaven 😇
For my last stop in Norway, I decided to highlight Sirkus Renaa Sølvberget - a pizzeria and bakery. I am not very familiar with the area, but it seems like this location of their restaurant is in a community center and library in the center of Stavanger. 📚
The decor was sort of vintage-inspired, with older lamps and photos on the wall.
Even though pizza seemed like the way to go here, I decided to go with their pre-made poke bowl and a cardamom bun, which seems just like the kanelsnurrer that I had had before.
How strange that I can have an amazing baked good and fresh fish in the same place? 😎
I was super hungry, so I was not worried about this being too much food 😅
I almost got a sandwich instead of the poke bowl because they all looked amazing. But so did the pastries, and I definitely wanted one of those, so I had to compromise somewhere.
I’ll confess I have no idea what cardamom is…but when I tried it, I felt like it was a bit too overpowering. 🤷🏼♀️
Comparative to other locations in Norway's metropolitan areas, the total cost for this meal was 18 euros, which for fresh food like this compares to NYC prices.
All in all, I would go back to try more of their baked goods and try a pizza! 🍕
